That's one thing I've never seen anywhere....that is, the seat tag codes. I would have absolutely no idea. I saved a couple of them though for research purposes myself, and even had them on my desk here where they've been sitting for almost a year, but I've never gotton around to actually trying to research them. I just threw these onto the scanner for the visual:

Yours seems to have more numbers on it then mine though. :hmm:

this upholstery prob color is hard to match up. Both seat tags are on the seat and in good shape. I cant figure out if the upholstery is the origanal or a replacement the vinyl is a lighter color blue than the dash and steering wheel colum but close in to the color of the factory seat belts. I my self dont think it is factory seat upholstery because its not close to any other colors in the truck. Those 1969 picks you told me to look at, was the upholstery style for 1968 the same with the cloth weve insert not going all the way to the top of the back bench and the emblem in the middle?. thx

Don't think I've seen ones like yours, Keith. Most of the ones I've looked at show a date code in addition to the basic number like freeks. 5 27 68 would be a May 27, '68 assembly date for the seat, probably one of the closest date codes to actual assembly of the truck. Contrast this with other codes found on the truck. I wonder if each factory had it's own local subcontractor building seats. That might account for differences in some coding.
