This undoubtedly is just a demo of my ignorance, but my truck has "4b" as the interior code. Is this Black vinyl with light blue woven inserts? This is on a chrome yellow truck.
Everything is now red, both inside and out.

re: Interior code question
I've been discovering that the source I used to obtain the interior trim codes listed on the VIN data pages is not the most reliable...in fact, it really sucks! We're slowly getting them figured out and corrected. However, right now only the '71 and '72 codes are verified as correct. I'm going to be re-working the '67-'70 codes to get them more accurate as quickly as I can. Sorry about the inconvenience.
The corrected codes for '71 and '72 both state that the 4B code denotes black vinyl with no colored accents, and until I can get the earlier codes, that's what I'd have to say it means for your '69 as well.

re: Interior code question
Well, that makes sense. Thanks. I like colored interiors but there aren't too many that would look at home with a bright yellow truck.
My wife, who is not enthusiatic about my truck
, did raise her eyebrows at the prospect of a big yellow truck, so I can see fate has decided the final color scheme.
Fine with me.
