Well for starters if you are going the door speaker route, find metal pannels to cut into and please don't harm the actual door skins.

Well for starters if you are going the door speaker route, find metal panels to cut into and please don't harm the actual door skins. Another Idea is to simply upgrade your factory with a hotter one. I know lmc and npd offer after market replacments that should be better the original. Something else to keep in mind is with bucket seats, you have a huge space in the middle for a huge subwoofer. Hope this helps :)

On my truck the headliner was shot. I made a plywood base that slits into the rim on the ceiling of the cab. I then mounted speakers into it and covered iso now I have the speakers in the roof.

Some trucks also came with a Dash speaker and factory bracket under the dash. You can find a bracket in some of the old trucks or make your own.

Rod Doors makes custom kick panels, and door panels for the 67-72. I think the kick panels have speaker provisions in them. I think they run about 70 dollars for the pair on the kick panels. As far as subs go, once you get rid of the gas tank behind the seat there's plenty of room. I have two ten's tight now, but eventually will have twelve's and possibly a custom fiberglass enclosure. As for my speakers, It's not permanent, but I have some pioneer enclosed boxes ( the ones w/ a mid, and two tweeters) in a plastic enclosure mounted on each side of the rear glass. Sounds good but doesn't look as nice as I want for the finished product.
Good luck, Charles
