No hurry whatsoever.... it's only 40 degrees and raining outside....
I doubt I'll even get to the point of putting this in before summer... lots to do first.... I've still got to see what UPS will do for me... had the package insured.... but I'm in the market at any rate.

OK, no problem. I'll keep that in mind.

This is the setup I will be going with. Allows me to keep the glovebox, and the passenger leg room. It's not a truck setup, but it is genuine Ford. I got one out of a Mustang, and one out of a Facon. Not sure which I'll use yet.

Ignore the dog, she a help and a hinderance, but is as mush a part of the truck as the drivetrain.

As always, just my :2cents:.

That pic could be our mascot.

Kinda like the RCA dog was.

Patrick, I wondered about the clearance issues with that setup... I always liked the looks of those, and you can even get really nice reproduction units.

I have run one exactly like the one on the left on a 1972 F100 Ranger XLT that I owned. You have to fab up your own brackets to get these to hang right or use spacers, but they install in the center of the dash, over the transmission hump, and hang down from there. They do not touch the floorpan, and you have to drill a drain hole in the floorboard for it. The hardest part to using this setup is finding a good condensor to go in front of the radiator. That is my current quest. I like that it is seperate from the heater elements, and does not require you to find additional heater/ac controls as the thermostat and fan switch are both in the unit.

re: Need Underdash A/C unit

I need a Factory A/C unit just like this one with the black and chrome front panel which was used on the 1968/69 trucks instead of the woodgrain front panel which is found on the 1970/72 trucks. If some one just has the black and chrome front panel I would buy that. Thanks for any and all help. Rick
