Horn Question

Post by AustinTom »

How do you get the horn button off the collumn without breaking the ring? Maybe I'm just bein too gentle but i really don't want to break the ring off.

Push down squarely on the horn button and while pushing down turn it left. The horn will be honking all this time but that's what makes it more challenging. :D

I figured out that if you pull the wire off the horn first, the neighbors stay alot nicer. ;-)

The horn "pad" on my '72 is easy to remove, but it is a PITA to put back on. (Some 'wise' kids in auto thought that it would be amusing to see my reaction) Does anyone have any method to make this an easy fix other than using a tounge depressor to push it back on? :hmm:
