probably 20 - 30 pounds at the most. its mostly fibergass and plastic with 2 cores in it. it over 3 ' long probably closer to 5' shipping under 50.00 i think. that is the factory box it takes up the entire passenger side under dash and most of the glove box. it stops just under the dash just before it turns to go down again under the dash gauges.

I have one! I don't know if it works, and I cut a couple hoses extracting it, but it's there. I also don't have the heater controls, as I'm reusing them. But I have the box, the compressor and mount, and a couple torn defrost hoses. Let me know if they'll help- I'll be asking for shipping plus a little loot for Keith.

Let your good judgement and dedication be your guide... : )

If you'd like, I'll accept the shipping charge (actual cost) only and you can evaluate the unit when it arrives and pay Keith what you think it's worth to you. If it can bolt up and work with little trouble, it seems like it would be worth more than if it's a parts-only donor.

I know very little about it. It was on my truck when I bought it, and the compressor was not mounted. I decided that by the time I bought a condensor, receiver-drier, etc, I'd only want a rotary compressor etc. About that time we had a heat wave for a few weeks and I got so frustrated with thhe weather that I impulsively ordered an entire new unit.

So- I can't really tell you if it's good to go or not. It would be good for parts, though. You decide- but with your 2585 posts, you've helped a lot of people, and I appreciate it.
