My truck has a saddle blanket style cover on the seats. It's in two peices and hog ringed on so I figured the seat was trashed, but I couldn't feel any bad spots in the top. Removed the top and cleaned it up. The bottom is ripped where my but goes so I left the bottom half of the cover on. Still looks a lot more original without the cover. I just used some gojo hand cleaner and a soft bristle brush go get to dirt and sweat out of the grain in the seat.

Yeah, see some people actually put on seat covers BEFORE they wear a hole in the seat or tear it up. Strange concept and I'll be doing it when I have a recovered seat.

A guy down the street just bought a '51 Ford from his uncle who had it stored in a garage for the last 20+ years. Long story short, the original owner was an upholsterer and made a seat cover out of vinyl the day he got it home from the dealer. We had a 50 Ford car that had covers put on them from the day it was new. Pulled them off and the seat was like new.
1969 Ford F-100. 302 4 barrel, C4 auto, 9in 3.50 open rear, headers, power steering, Turq/wht, Under restoration. In other words, in a million pieces!!!
There is no Replacement for Displacment!!!
