Original color?

When I introduced myself a few days ago I brought this subject up. I hope I am posting it in the right place. I don't know much about trucks so I may use the wrong terminology. The color code that is stamped on the door vin plate is E81. I know the 81 just means it is a regular cab. The "E" is supposed to tell me the trim color. I have a 67 F250. I can't find that color code being used and someone posted that it was not used until 68. I compared the vin on the door plate to the vin stamped on the frame and they match. According to the vin the truck was built in San Jose in November 66. I am not sure if that helps. Does anyone have any information on this. I can post a picture later today if you would like. It's really starting to bug me.

Just to clearify a couple of things. The original exterior color of the truck was rangoon red. The code I am refering to is the body code. I am trying to figure out the interior color.
