No Power To New CD Player
Ok, so installing radios isn't exactly my thing. I've helped a few times, but this is my first time doing it alone. I can't get it to power up. I can hear the CD drive run for just a second when I turn the key on, but that's it. I have a red wire and a black wire that the old radio was using (through a makeshift harness that would not work with the new one). I guess one is constant power and one is hot when the key is on. I've got it grounded good (I think) and I've reset the deck after each attempt. Any ideas?

yeah, it seems like you need to have the orange or yellow constant power lead hooked up and make sure it's to an always hot source. and i think the antenna has to be plugged in too.

You might want to check out the manufacturer's website, often they'll have installation instructions there for each specific model, which should include a wiring schematic.
