You know that textured plastic that most cars use for those kick panels? Well, a while back a neighbor was going to throw out a treadmill which had a large flat chunk of that on the back, about 4' x 3' x 1/8" thick. I'm going to cut my own from that piece. I figure it'll tuck up between the dash panel and cab wall along the top, and I'll simply have to screw it in along the front (where the weatherstrip will cover them up) and along the bottom (covered by the carpeting).

LMC sells carpet style panels for the bottom of the doors.

I have an idea right now of making the templates out of card board and then making a fiberglass mold of it after I add a piece of round wood to mount speakers. THen mold it all and smooth it to have covered in leather. The only problem with adding speakers is the park brake will get in the way so may have to do away with it.

I'm also going to do fiberglass panels for some 6 1/2" speakers. I wont have a problem removing my parking brake lever cause I just air the truck down on the ground... it ain't going no where.

Yeah I hear ya. Must be nice. Yeah that is what I'm thinking probably 6 1/2's will do just fine.
