i got my new heater core installed today, so now i can drive to school without foggy windows, booya :D :clap:

where does the retaining clip go on the new heater core replacement? it fell out upon removing the old core

i cant find a retainer clip in the box that i took apart it is a non a/c heater box. the only clip i can think of might be the one that holds the rubber boot to the case.

FOUND THE LOCATION; BEHIND THE NEW CORE AT THE BOTTOM SO CORE DOESN'T SLIDE AFT

there was supposed to be a clip? i didn't have one, just a foam pad in betwem the firewall and the core

I have to do this same job on the 71 F-250. Hoses are looped due to a leaking core.
