They turn out really nice. Also alot easier to see than the white on black originals and really light up at night.

well you'd use the same one but only put 'em on the guages so if you have the fuel gauge temp and Speedo/odom. Then you use them and have the other two left over.

Hey 460 is that toggle for the offroad lights? kinda an interesting place. But as long as it works. Some one put a horn button in my brake warning hole and left the bare brake warner hanging exposed.

Did you need or use the recommended install kit?

Yep thats what the switch is for it is one of the holes that is from the dash pad studs. Nope no install kit. I bought a small hobby knife and used an extra razor blade, a bottle of floresent orange Testors for repainting the needles, and a can of white gloss for the main plate that is up front in the cluster.

The switch works out pretty good because it's right where I go to smack the dash when some not so intellegent person pulls out in front of a 5000lb chunk of iron. flip them on and they go blind while thinking the cops are pulling them over. Little ignorant on my part but if I had to mash on the brakes I'm sure they were in the wrong with the failure you yield to oncoming traffic.

Actually I don't think the link is the same as 460 crews set. The link doesn't look as clear. There is another seller that made some really nice ones. I was working with him about doing a tach cluster setup for the ranchero.

I used this companys overlays, they are good quality and I sure like the way they look installed. You can also go to their web site at http://www.whitegauges.net/

What color LED's look best?

460crew, how did you get your cluster to look like that? The chrome.
Looks great! Damn fine job.

I've heard the red's look nice but I just prefer the blue myself.

  Thanks,I paid the over priced money for a new cluster bezel, clear face, then did the white gauges. I think the whole investment was close to 200 when all was said and done with supplies, seems worth it when you have to look at it every time you drive the truck. I was a little disturbed when I made the decision to cut a hole in it for the A/C vent but it is well worth it being mounted in there.

Looks great. Might be a mod I'll have to do. I prefer white LED's though. Do the LED's make a big difference over the regular bulbs in brightness?

The LED's are brighter and give better color than colored regular bulbs. With white LED's that cluster should light right up. For a couple more bucks and the fact that LED's use less power I think their more than worth the money.

I bit the bullet today and ordered a whiteface gauge set, some blue LEDs and some of the EL glow wire today. Just a little Christmas present for my good ol' truck.
