Have black seat, need white seat
I need a nice black bench seat for a bumpside I'm working on. I have a real nice white seat. Is there a chance I can dye the white seat black and save some time and money over recovering this sucker? I owned an early mustang that someone had dyed the seats from green to black and it was pretty hard to tell. Never done this myself though. Any advice on products to use and quality of the end results would be very appreciated.

re: Have black seat, need white seat
Find these three products. SEM soap, SEM Solve, and SEM Classic coat. With this system your can re-dye the seat and be good for a at least a year. I built a custom golf cart for Sarah's family and used these products to change tht seat from white to black. It's held up fo 2 years in outdoor weather. I would have redone my seat long ago with this if it didn't have a hole the bottom.

I personally would buy a rebuild kit with hog rings or simply buy a cover. Dye has not treated me good on my upholstery.
