another charging sys Q

Post by LANCE65 »

I am going to put a 3G alternator in my truck this weekend and I am wondering what do I do with the regulator and wiring? If I am not mistaken the 3G is internally regulated right?Do I just remove all the old wiring(I hope so!!) and the old regulator(that would be GREAT!!!)It sure would be nice to "clean up" the engine compartment! Thanks

Do I keep any of the existing wires from the old system? What about my original guage? Is it not going to work or do I have to buy a specail adapter from PA?Thanks

here-

since that alt is internally regulated, take the oil wiring and throw it on the shelf.

it's a 1 wire alternator right?
