Gauge cluster question?

wondering is it normal for the oil guage to work when running but peg out with The key in on but not running or accessories?

Or is there something wrong? Everything else works.

I don't beleive so. I'm thinking the sending unit is on its way out.

that doesn't sound normal but i couldn't tell you for sure. i think all the guages just come up to what they read when they are in the key on not running postion.

Could be that you have the wrong sending unit also.

good news is now with the cluster i bought from bobbyinpd I have a working fuel gauge now to add fuel and see if the sender works.
