Anyone used a painless harness on a bump side?

Post by Big D's 69 »

We have used them on several other vehicles mainly cheby's but was wondering if anyone has used them on a Bump. Too many options for me to go back with a stock harness so was wanting to upgrade to an after market harness with 12 or 18 circuits. Thanks for the info ahead of time.

I think I will be using one but just wanted some info on them. They have worked well on everything else we have used them on.

They can be good or sh*t depending on the application. Never use a painless efi harness, they're plain garbage since there's no ignition sheilding.

I am also getting near the wiring stage of my project as well. I have heard nothing but good things about painless. There wiring is bullet proof and gaurenteed for life. Yeah a little pricey but in my oppinion well worth the money. There harness seems to be prewired, which means just rout the way you want. I am a little intiminated about wiring but it has to get done so I'll dive head first and just take plenty of before pictures for reference. Let me know how painless it was and good luck. Keep us posted. :)

Damn, if you were down here, I could've helped you wire the thing. I'm good at that sort of thing...

I wish I was closer I would pay you to wire it for me. Out here poeple won't even touch a universal harness because they see the potential head ackes ahead. I personally suck but figure gaining proper knowledge ahead of time using books and refrenses will go a long way as far as understanding DC current.

I figure I will take the plunge on it and go that route. Like i said before we have had good luck with them but most have been more of a custom harness per application. SO Nothing to it but to do it.

Here's a Painless forum. http://www.painlessperformance.com/forum/index.php

The cost at Summit is on this page. http://store.summitracing.com/egnsearch ... 4294925084

$409.95 without switches and $599.95 with switches supposedly with Ford coded wiring.
