Interior Lighting issues

I have no dome light and no heater control light.

The dome light does not have 12V... what is the routing for the dome light wire?

The heater control light has 12V, but is missing the light socket... anyone have a spare?

the dome runs off the cigar lighter fuse check that fuse. also might check the doort switches.

No door jamb switches.... or brackets... trying to find some but no luck yet...

Any idea the path the wire takes from the dash to the dome light?

the wire go es from under the dash inside the drivers windshield pillar and behind the headliner until it reaches the light in the top rear of the cab.

to work with the doors open they need the jamb switch. have you tried with the headlight switch twisted all the way to the drivers side?

it could even be th rehostat(dash dimmer switch.

Uhhh... no... the rheostat does not control the dome light... the rotation of the headlight knob does engage the dome light, but the rheostat is not part of that circuit.

And yes, I had it turned... (but I did double check just to make sure....)

I think it is the wiring behind the dash... probably disconnected...

yea the rheostat controls the dimming of the dash lights.

I stand corrected on that part. Now i know.

It is still the same fuse for the lighter as the dome.

Thanks for all the advice... In my junk pile I found an old mustang harness that had one of the light sockets... put a bullet conenctor on it and Voila! Lights in the heater control.

Swapped the Cigar lighter fuse... Dome light works now...

LET THERE BE LIGHT!

check the fuse the bulb and the door switch then start checking the wiring last.

I had no idea the heater controls are supposed to have a light! I have a new project now!
