Hello,
I am trying to install a Cargo light onto my 71 Highboy... I have a couple of questions:
Since i have a manual Choke, where does the Cargo light switch get mounted? I think I remember seeing an underdash mount used for the light switch, but I cannot remember.
Also, it appears that the wiring is no longer around (gremlins) - Does anyone have an extra harness from the switch to the Light?
If not, does anyone have a wiring diagram for the cargo light? I dont seem to see one on the site.
Thanks in Advance!!!
Eric

In life many men take the path of righteousness, some take the path many others follow (G.M. owners, for example), some take a more arduous path, some a simpler path. I, sir, took the PSYCO-PATH!!

re: Cargo Light and switch questions
Mines between the choke and the steering column, on the dash. To the right of the column it goes cargo switch, choke, and lighter.

re: Cargo Light and switch questions
I already have 3... choke, Emergency lights, lighter...
I think it is going under the dask..
Anyone have an underdash Mount?
This is starting to get expensive....

re: Cargo Light and switch questions
My emergency switch is in the glove box, so they must have changed that over in `70 or `71.
Sorry, can't help you with the under dash mount, other than to say check around junkyards or maybe at Napa. You can also check out your local Ace Hardware, you'ld be surprised what you'll find to make things work. I'm fortunate, in that the guys at the hardware store here in town have been working there for a long time, and they know what they have everywhere. If I describe what I want, they'll show me a few different ways of accomplishing it with what they have in stock, or offer suggestions on where I can go to get the stuff I need (if they don't have it, which is pretty rare).
