Help some moron wired my reverse lights into the brakes

Help some moron wired my reverse lights into the brakes

And my brakes into the reverse system. How the heck do you get the plugs on the fender apart so you can loosen the harness good enough to get it out of the instrument cluster hole far enough to start a rewire?

or atleast far enough to drop in a good spare harness?

all you have to do is drive in reverse everywhere you go. :lol:

if your talking about the colored plugs you just have to work at them wiggling them as you pull wiggle it in all directions.

thanks i got them loose now i need to pull the drivers plug through the hole and get enough wire through the hole in the dash to get a good look at the wiring.

those plugs come out pretty easy too. just get the l;ip started and they will come right out.

cool i'll try it in the morning. almost to the point i wanna use her for parts and get a truck with good wirting lined up.

wiring isn't bad at all. did you use that harness you got from me yet? i know it worked. because the truck was running when i parted it out.

Did you check the rear harness for problems? Then trace wires to dash.

yup its in the dash its just realy close to the firewall.

somebnody thought the two that come off the backup lamp harness/neutral switch went to the brakes and vice versa. they then wired around the non working turn signal who's only fault was that undersized screws where used to reatach the socket to the bed.

Ok so it wasn't in the dash but there where a few wires there that needed attention. Besides it made it easier to reach the wires for reasembly.

And when it was all wired and double checked with my test light it was your suggestion Bluef250 that helped me figure it out.:thup:
