F600 instrument cluster retrofit
I hope to soon to buy an F-600 dash instrument cluster. My 67 has idiot lights so I am been searching the post for info on upgrading my current system to allow the Amp meter and other gauges to work. I have found several discussion on how the system works, but was unable to find a post where someone actually made it work. If someone could advise me I would appreciate it. Thanks

Did you read this thread?

No, I don't think I've run into anyone who's reported back that they've tried what I suggested in that thread, as far as where to hook up the two ammeter leads when using an idiot-light harness. However, the Mustang crowd has been hooking it up this way and it works for them. Here's a link to check out:

So does the f-600 just plug into the regular harness? The one without the idiot lights?

re: F600 instrument cluster retrofit
From what others here on the forums have said, as long as you have the '67-'69 style of instrument cluster connector and the full-instrumentation harness, you can just pull your existing cluster wiring harness off and install it on the F600 panel and then plug it into the main harness. I haven't gotten this far on my project yet, so I can't verify that.
