More FTE drama
Thought some of you might enjoy this. I mostly spend time on the NW forum and have gotten to know many of the guys prettey well. Lately discussion has gotten a little saucy. For the most part the mods leave us alone, but recently they started locking threads, deleting posts, etc. NW forum members have not been shy about publicly voicing their displease. This thread is just one example.

I tried to look at it but my guess it is locked -who knows, if FTE is not a poster child for socialisim then my name isnt '75-4x4guy
If there is anything that Dennis or Ken dont like then poof there is goes .
I say Dennis before Ken because he is the guy who generialy on the prowl .
When I was a moderator you wouldnt belive what went on in the moderators forum " oh would you look at this guys thread"
" look what he is saying now what an idiot "-sometimes worse
More times then not the talk of other FTE'rs in the mod forum is pretty negitive . I found that I really didnt like some of the mods when they showed their " true colors".
It is truly too bad because I learned a lot of things about ford trucks on fte and I think that future members even present members are missing out due to the "political B.S." that seems to be running rampid over their .
I give my thanks to Keith for this site, thanks!!!!!

Yep they canned it alright. I'm actually suprised it lasted as long as it did. They were clearly pushing the limits (and the moderators buttons). I thought people were going to be banned, maybe still are.
I don't know if anyone saw it, but it was hilarious. Now this one replaced it and is more toned down.

Keith, if you don't want this here, I totally understand. IMO, it makes you look like a star though The whole flap started over a contest for a free FTE membership. As usual on the NW thread, things get off topic and went straight to the high school boys level if you know what I mean . Now they are taking away the contest all together (which was really helping promote FTE in the first place )
This is my favorite exchange:

Thats cool, i left dennis a little negative feedback, telling him i thought he was overly sensitive and this is what i got back from him

btw, Thanks for the neg feedback.
It actually shows more about you & how you think than it does me.

It's too bad because there are lots of cool people on the NW forum. I either need to get my buddies to sell their new trucks and buy 67-72s or talk Keith into expanding this site

re: More FTE drama
Speaking of which, does anybody know of a site similar to this (yeah,I know,I'm asking a lot ),that is dedicated to the '53-56 Ford pickups?...I googled, and all I really came up with was trucks or parts for sale,or Farmer Jone's '54 P/U Blog,or the FTE site or the Near North Side Dubuque Fat Fenders Club, which has about one post a year...I'm really trying to decide which way to go with my '54,and I'd like to get some info on them...FTE requires you to set up a gallery, whatever that involves,to register...
This is the point...I'm....talking about everybody! I'm talking about form! I'm talking about content! I'm talking about interrelationships! I'm talking about God, the devil, hell, heaven!!!! Do you understand???? Finally!!!!

re: More FTE drama
I am also an FTE refugee. I actualy own a 73 model truck, but this site is as close as I could come. FTE is realy a great site with good people with tons of information. It's a complete shame that the moderators conduct things the way they do.
On a more positive side, this site is most excellent. A lot of you guys have really cool trucks with realy nice modifications. With the way FTE is going it won't be long until they run a lot of their good people right over here.
Comet has a great idea. Would it be possible to talk the management in to expanding on the year models just a little? Say....maybe one year?

re: More FTE drama
The more the merrier.
I have a policy of not even viewing anything on a FTE server, including for sale items and user galleries on the basis they might get 1/100th of one cent from some banner ad view.
I'd love to see the whole place implode.
And Ken, if you are reading this:
BITE ME! Have a nice day.

Hey Joe, I know how you feel. I asked basically the same question about a month ago, only about 63' Falcon hardtops and classic two seat T-birds and the answer is NO. Fordification is a great, and I'm finding out, unique site for specific model auto fanatics. I think ol' Keith hit a homerun on this baby!
