I just finished putting in disc brakes and rebuilding my whole front end. Got it to work and the wiring harness melted and caught fire. I am going with a Painless kit 10117, cant seem to get Ron Francis to call me back. Does anyone have a complete wiring diagram for a 68 F100 2wd, this site does not have one in the wiring scematics section. Any input on this would be great, thanks.

The Painless Kit is designed for the Ford Truck, is the Ron Francis that much better?

Sorry to hear about your misfortune...but heck, if it's gonna go up in flames, I can't think of a place I'd rather have it happen!pyrofighting wrote:Hows this for Irony. I am a firefighter, and my truck caught fire at the Fire Station.

re: Truck caught fire! Help!
There was a old trailer brake setup that had been installed. The wiring for that was wound tightly on itself and caused enough resistance to catch fire. I was able to salvage the stock harness and rewire some things. I would still like to upgrade the fuseblock, any suggestions.
