Speedostat aftermarket(?) cruise control question.

Post by rjewkes »

I know this was designed for the turn sig. switch mounted cruise but will it wire up to the factory cruise column?

Theres a harness that comes out to the firewall to attach to the deal that pulls the throttle open when you turn on/accelerate with the button.

but then it has a power dongle(computer power supply for hard drives and cd/dvd drives). That has the red wire with a fuse on it the rest go into tyhe box.

Any body know how this wires?

BTW it came out of a 77 f150 ext. cab with add on cruise control.

I don't want to give em a heart-attack. That is what would happen if I answered the door in the buff. Heck it almost scares me to death when I step out of the shower and look in the mirror.~Mancar1~

sorry, all the aftermarket cruise controls i have seen on the older trucks had a round sensor type thing under the cab reading driveshaft rotation.
i think the last one i saw was a sears model.

you can ford a river or stream and get to the other side, if you dodge it you will not, and if you drive a chevy to the levee it will run dry and the music will die.

I had an after market unit that read the plugs firing on one cylinder. It worked by keeping the RPM steady and would not engage below 1800. It would engage in any gear.

ok i'll get you all a picture of what i have. The colum is factory w/cruise from a 77 f250. 460 c6.

The box is either factory add on at dealership/dso or an addon from a parts house.
