Light with no fixture.

Post by green71F100 »

I'm driving along at night and I see a light flash on and off from under the dash on the right side of the steering wheel. like lightning lighting up the floor. I looked under and there is a bulb, socket and some kind of a metal shroud around it. It looks like it would clip onto the outside of something else? Any ideas?

Also, on the far left lower corner of the dash there is a round chrome trim with two wires going to the back of it and the center is black. Can anybody tell me what it is for?

The one on the right side might be for the heater controls. The one on the left side should be a brake light. It should let you know when the parking brakes are on or when there is a problem with the brakes.

I would agree with Big D. One is for the heater control and the other is the brake indicator.

right side is for the lighter. it clips on to the top of the outer part behind the dash.
other one is brake as said above. lens is supposed to be red with BRAKE in black on it.

you can ford a river or stream and get to the other side, if you dodge it you will not, and if you drive a chevy to the levee it will run dry and the music will die.
