Door handle rattle?
I searched last night and today and didnt really find anything relevant.
Anyhow, the drivers side door handle in my 72 bump rattles non-stop. It gets irritating as crap! I stuffed a rag down in it to shut it up for now, but i wanted to know if there was a fix for it, shy of replacing it. Let me know if you guys have the same problem, and what you did to fix it.
Thanks in advanvce

you can ford a river or stream and get to the other side, if you dodge it you will not, and if you drive a chevy to the levee it will run dry and the music will die.

My old one rattled and once it completely wore out and wouldn't open anymore then I bought a new one and no more rattle.

re: Door handle rattle?
I'd first diagnose the problem to see what's worn out. It could be something as simple as the two small nuts that hold the handle to the door being loose. Tightening them up could be all you'd need to do.

Yeah, i tried tightening them up. Didnt work. I had to replace the pass side outside lock mechanism and got to looking at how it worked. I checked the drivers side, and as far as i can tell everything looked ok, just rattles. Are the drivers side and passenger side interchangable? Prolly a stupid qiestion, but i wasnt sure. If they were, i might try swapping them and see if that shut it up.
Fordman, how much would you like for the handle?
