rjewkes, have you finished up your install on the 100 amp alternator? I would like to do something similar and wondering how it turned out.

I don't want to give em a heart-attack. That is what would happen if I answered the door in the buff. Heck it almost scares me to death when I step out of the shower and look in the mirror.~Mancar1~

re: 100 Amp Alt.?
I was on the Advance auto web site looking at 100 amp alternators. They had various warnings, like pulley change may be required, problems with electrical connectors making a good connection. What brand alternator did you get? I think one of their brands is Palladium. Do you have a part number? And most were not in stock locally, but needed to be ordered. I'll probably need to take an old alt. in and find a good counter guy and match it up that way.

I got Two that look to be original motorcraft pulls that were rebuilt. these'll definitly need new pulleys as they came without.
Fordman As long as it is a VR 749 I don't think it realy matters the year 92 is just the first year that i found with that 100 amp alternator.
one was supposed to be from a 69 cougar and the other from a 79-92/93 Econoline.
