I got the boot from FTE. The reason, well they are too chickens#!+ to tell me why, but the NW forum moderator inquired on my behalf and apparently it's because I am a member of Fordification and possibly my post about drama at FTE here on Fordification. If you look at that thread, I did not say anything bad about FTE, just reporting what's going on. In fact, even on FTE people were way more vocal about their disapproval of the moderators there (I never even posted on that thread), but no one got booted except me because I'm on Fordification. They want me to call Ken on my dime and beg to get back on. I do not beg or apologize when I have done nothing wrong and never got an explanation why I was banned.
When I used to post on the 67-72 forum (before I discovered Fordification ), I would tow the FTE line and tell people to use the supporting vendors. I had over 1100 posts, nearly 100 feedback points, none that were negative (which is more than Dennis can say since someone gave him neg. feedback re: that thread ).
In the NW forum I tried to be a positive role model re: 4x4s and land use to all the youngins' there. I was in the process of setting up an FTE NW Forum adopt a trail program with the Forest Service. I recommended FTE to several other people seeking info. on both hot rod and 4x4 sites, and I considered myself an asset to that site. After all I have helped them with and brought in new people, this is how I get treated and not even an explanation. Well, shame on Ken and his henchmen. I would be embarassed at how petty and childish I acted if I was him, but maturity and common sense aren't part of his make-up apparently.
I know many of you have known what I've said above for some time, and I guess I learned the hard way. I will now spend my time driving people away (already replied to a post on a hot rod site about FTE). I am e-mailing all of their vendors in which I have spent thousands of dollars with (over $500 just today) and telling them what a crock of crap I think they are associating with FTE. I encourage all FTE members that got the boot for no reason to do the same as this is the only way (<--Ken ) will understand, because it's solely about the money. Not the information resource, and certainly not the people.
I will only miss the guys in the NW Forum, lots of really good people there. I hope Keith goes forward with the regional forums and maybe some of them will visit here. I have never used this emoticon here, but it's now going to be part of my signature.

Sorry to hear that Comet. Their loss is our gain, always look forward to your experience, humor and willingness to help out. I'll bet Ken gets an update every morning on the goings on over here. Can you picture it, him sitting behind a big desk with a stogie hanging out of his mouth with a skinny little rat fink standing in front of him shakin and telling him " Oh boss, you should of seen this post on Fordification last night " . I wish I could say I was sorry, but I'm going to be selfish and say I'm not. Your wealth of knowledge and experience is something that I can truly say is a definite asset here. However, I do understand your being ticked off....it's just too bad that ol' Ken just doesn't have the 'nads to be up-front with anyone and try to come up with a mutually-beneficial solution.
I'm sure he's just thinking each time he does this that "it's only one bad apple I'm getting rid of"....but every time he gives a good man the boot, he's only hurting himself even more. And he's been doing that more and more lately. Oh well....like Lee mentioned, it's his loss and our gain!

You don't need to be ther anyway. That place has gotten real depressing with all the same crappy stupid questions and lame answers.
This forum has plenty going on with lots of real possitive people here asking, answering questions and just having a good time.

OK....I'll be the First to say "I'm Glad" because you over here with us....
But I don't know what you mean when you really had nothing to do with it and you just got caught up in the Crap.

I sure am glad I found this site first, I hate drama. I would not have lasted very long over there.

Dude, you had it coming! It's just a matter of time before the dark side figures out which one of us Fordification guys is still registered over there. I haven't been over there for a while. I won't give them the satisfaction of booting me with me knowing about it!

re: It's happened again..this time it's my turn!
Thanks guys. I've never been banned, or even threatened to be banned from any forum. I post on over 10. I usually don't stir the pot and am considered a peace maker most of the time when things get ugly (although I am known to rib people now and again! ). I know I won't get any sympathy here, but it kind of blind sided me. It took me a couple days to even figure out what happened (I thought the site was having problems...well I guess in a way they are! ). Anyway, like I said, I'll miss the NW guys, but I do feel loved here. I'm glad we've had so many get togethers here. I really enjoy those, especially when we can coax Peter to come all the way up! (which reminds me, he would have to be considered a NW region guy if you go through with that )

Hey! And to think I wanted to adopt you in the NW region! Is it too late to change my answer?Faithful Old Road Dog wrote:Dude, you had it coming!
ps, I really don't think I had it coming, unless just posting here is considered "having it coming." If that's the case, then you're right I guess. I'm off to send Keith more money.
