I'm with jor - I'm not sure there is enough of a benefit to justify the effort to have regional groups. Just look at the idea of auctions. I've bought from two of the auctions, but that seemed to have fizzled due to lack of interest, members, or money.

I think the idea of the T-shirts will be a big indicator if we have enough members to support this. If Keith gets stuck with 100 T-shirts I'd say no. Let's get more members first! We're going into cruising season. Let's hand out those business cards and double our memeber!

As for the regions - West Virginia, you're not alone. I'm from the Pittsburgh area and I tend to travel west and south before I'd ever go to VA or DC.

I agree, maybe we should table this idea til next winter and see how the membership looks then.

After I thought about it, I do think we should concentrate on other things and see how it goes later! Keith already does way to much for us! take it easy and don't put so much into this that your truck suffers! just my thoughts!

I don't really like the idea because there isn't many people in my region (ha ha I got Keith).

Well, I figured I would throw in my :2cents: I am of the belief that we should stay a single community, I like seeing what others are doing around their areas.

Yeah, to be honest with you, that's kinda how I feel too. I guess I'm a little leary of 'dividing' the group...some people might tend to stick to their own discussion areas and not really chime in much in the main forums, which kinda defeats the purpose of it. This was just an idea I've heard from several people and thought it was worthy of discussion.

I also agree that our member numbers really aren't enough to warrant separating things out yet....but at the rate things are growing, it's very possible that in the future we might have to do this.

OK...thanks for the input everyone. I guess right now I'm leaning towards just putting this off for a little while, to let the membership roster increase a bit more, and possibly re-evaluate the option at a later date.

Whew, thanks Keith. I was really scared I'd have to moderate myself. :hmm:
You do way too much for us as it is. And we appreciate it much. I'm not in favor of splitting the group or increasing your work load.

See, now could you have open and honest opinions floating around the " other site"? If you really think about it, this is what Fordification is all about, an idea, a discussion, and agreements to disagree if you must. God I love this place. Thanks Keith, you da man !!!!!!  , I happen to agree with the one neighborhood kinda a place, really enjoy hearing about what's going on in other parts of the world. :D OOPS I did a preview of this post and noticed I forgot something :fte:

I hate repeating myself, but I will until I am heard. :D

If everyone who reads this would go into their profile and EDIT their info on where they are and put the State in first, then you could sort the memberlist by location and at least get a general idea of who is where.

As it is now, if you sort by location, It just sorts it alphabetically.

Ok Mike!
I edited my profile. It's a good idea. If you'd have told my wife she would have gotten me to do it much sooner, she's a much better nag......uh, reminder than you. Can I still keep my Wyoming flag?
