Parchment Interior, is this it?

Post by bando966 »

I'm trying to confirm if i have parchment interior 72' F100 Ranger XLT
White and blue exterior, off white interior here is a pic. let me know if I'm off on this.
I've tried to find the metal Vin plate but it looks to have been removed, anyone know how to decode color and interior info from just the Vin? Thanks in advance, Brandon

Thanks for the help, nope no metal vin in the door frame, and no metal icon on the back of the seat (but i can't imagine the color anything but parchment) The truck has been repainted so I do have an newer factory Ford sticker that has the Vin on it just no other info...bummer

It looks a little weird to me. Parchment is normally a creamier color for a lack of better words. That looks good. Looks like someone had the interior done as oppossed to it being a factory replacment kit.

should be a vin plate on the door itself just above or below the latch mechanism.

It may be hard to see if it was painted over. if it ain't there it shoould be two ltille holes there where the rivets were unless they had them filled.

I think getting a build sheet is the way to go, the vin is no longer there and the holes remain so it would be good to know the details. The pics really show the interior as blown out white but is is more creamy in real life. It's in sweet shape, but the fabric is pretty vintage looking...thanks for the clarification. Brandon

Not Parchment too white for that color. Should be for factory but has been repainted that is as white as it gets. Nice truck seat was did right nice tight install. There is one other place to look there should be a tag on firewall at or near intake level that has info too, also the box on passenger side between cab and box on the little brace buy cab corner area its stapled on at factory.

Hey,Brandon,I remember seeing your truck at an Exxon or Chevron service station in Scottsdale about a year or so ago...I recognize the two tone color and the interior...Nice ride you got there...

Parchment is an off white color with some slight variations in the coloring, sort of like the parchment paper that diplomas and old Bibles were printed on...Your seat looks like they matched the XLT pattern quite well...I can't imagine any other color scheme for your interior, except maybe black...Parchment interiors were used on many two-tone color schemes...

Hey guys thanks for all the input, "props"and help, Joe you are right, it was in Scottsdale before I purchased it and since you have first hand knowledge of it I will agree it must be an exceptional redo, not original, but it's pretty...Thanks again, Brandon  :fr:
