Are all turn signal switches and canceling cams interchangable in bumps? My switch is so bad that if i hit a good bump in the road the left signal comes on. And of course, it doesnt cancel in either direction... I found a couple at the local yard that work better than mine, but they are out of different years.
Also, i've been searching the site on the subject and seen people recommend the parts hause ones that are in the Help section. Will this part make it actually click into place? And then replace the cam to make it cancel?
I wanna get this fixed soon because my wife and i went out driving last night and i had to keep telling her to turn off the signal!
Anyways, thanks in advance!

re: Turn signal switch
The LMC catalog shows the switch being the same for '65 to '70.
Go to LMC Truck on line and look through their catalog.

Re: Turn signal switch
Sorry to bump this old thread...
I went and picked up an entire switch assembly from a dent at a local yard. This thing looks brand spankin new! But it is different. The emergency flasher is built in.
Does anyone have the wiring diagram for the early dents? I think I can make it work by taking the hazard switch and running only the wires for the switch itself...
Thanks for any help
And I can't say it enough!!!!!!!!!!!!

Re: Turn signal switch
The wiring for the turn signal is identical except for one extra wire for the hazards. If you want to do it the easy way all you have to do is use the turn signal switch housing from a dent and just add a single wire from the fuse panel that connects to a flasher and then the wire on the turn signal switch for the emergency flashers hooks to the other side. It is very easy to do and works great. All of the other wires are the same as what you have although the colors may vary ever so slightly. Just did this myself, Hawkrod
