FORDification t-shirts totals
Well, I just spent the past few hours getting all the t-shirt orders processed and entered into the database, and thought you all might be interested in the totals.
Right now we're sitting right at 100 shirts ordered...which includes those paid for and a few "the check's in the mail", plus a couple freebies to certain people, like Tony who designed the shirt's logo (and the model I've hired to pose for some pics to be posted on the site to sell the remaining shirts.)
That's actually not too bad. It's not as many as I'd hoped, but actually a few more than I expected. I committed myself to 147, so I believe I'll top off the order with about a dozen each of the L, XL, 2X and 3X to sell on the site. Until they're all gone, I plan to keep one listed on E-bay...more for the site exposure than the shirt sale.
I will be contacting the printer tomorrow and getting things set up to get the printing started. I'll let you all know what I find out as far as a delivery date. And to all who placed an order, you have my thanks. To those that didn't make it in time, some will be available soon. But when they do become available on the website, you'd better not drag your feet....'cause when they're gone, they're gone! And there are no immediate plans for a second printing, but if everyone is happy with what they get and want to do it again in a year, I'd say it's not out of the question.

Maybe you should buy a banner ad to sell some on FTE. I bet you could get enough of us to chip in and pay for it.
Thanks for all the investment Keith. You rock.

Yep, yours came in. Thanks Kraig.Kraig wrote:Did you get "my check's in the mail"?
Thanks J.B. Hmmm....I wonder how much a banner ad over at the Dark Side would cost me? I mean, I'm SURE he'd give me a price break, seeing as how we're old friends and he gets plenty of exposure over here anyway, right?willowbilly3 wrote:Maybe you should buy a banner ad to sell some on FTE. Hey, Keith, here's an idea.
Since we are so rapidly closing in on 500 members, why not give #500 1 free tshirt?
Just a thought.

Keith, maybe it's too late for this, but on those that pre-order, I know we got the best deal possible. Maybe the others you should add a few bucks to to help maintain things here. I think it's only fair and it might ease the burden of the new server space you are upgrading to. Plus, you are basically buying those on speculation, so there's risk. With added risk, there should be added payback. Just a thought. I'd post a linky somewhere for people to see.
That's MR. Jackass to you fellah!

Yes, the shirts you guys all pre-ordered were offered at just a tiny bit over cost, but I do intend to charge a few bucks more for the shirts sold later through the website, and all proceeds will go into the site maintenance/upgrade fund. This time around it wasn't about making any money, but more about just trying to get the name of the site out there, and also to thank everyone who broke themselves away from the Dark Side (either by choice or a little extra encourgement) and helped turn this forum into what it is today.
