Not necessarily. Yes I do know from personal experience, I had one come loose, it wasn't much but enough to cause a grinding noise like a bad starter.

Well, depending on when I get paid were going to take it to my uncles and do a bunch of work to the truck. When that happens well drop the tranny and might even rebuild it while its out.

I have had it destroy the clutch and bell housing and flywheel. On the street at daily driver speeds.

If you get one, their easy to swap. Gotta pull the flywheel first.

Ouch!!! That sucks.

Fixed it! turns out all it was was a burned up solenoid. That makes me happy. I still plan on replacing the flywheel though. Thanks for the help.

Well, I finally figured out the real problem after going through 2 new solenoids. Turns out it was the starter and a faulty wire for one of my guages which made that guage always on which in turn drained the battery every night. Anyways, I pulled the starter and the teeth on it were pretty worn so I took it down and got a new one and the truck starts better than it ever has.
