turn signal problem

Ive been trying to fix the lights on my truck today the turn signals have me stumped, there not working. One thing I noticed is that if I have my foot on the brake and I have say the left blinker on, the left brake light will go out. Same for the right. The wiring on the truck is really f'd up so im having trouble with the wiring diagrams and im also new to all this. So any help i could get id be greatfull for.

i'd almost guarantee you it's your turn signal switch

yeah thats what im starting to think, since all the lights blink when I put the emergency lights on.
