PS question
I have a 67 with 79 Dana 60 front would a 88 F-350 power steering box be a feesible swap? It appears to be a three bolt inside frame rail with pitman facing forward. pic of F-350 box

I am thinking "no". The crossmember would be in the way. Also the pitman arm would need to be tuned 180*.

The box is not tall enough to sit on top of the frame and meet up with the steering linkage coming out of the cab and also be at the bottom of the frame for the pitman arm to swing freely and run horizontally and not at a slight up/down angle, caused by mounting the box at a little bit of an angle itself. This might sound funny but it looks right in my head Prob could go in somehow as anything is possible but might include alot of time and unnecessary hacking.

Thanks guys. I'll just keep looking for one that has the longer sector shaft to run on the outside of the frame and sits on top of the framerail.
460 could you give me some insight on what you are running. I plan on running a setup identical to yours but with hydro assist. Thanks again.

i would use a 79 f-350 ps box and weld a plate to the frame and mount it up that way.

Currently I have the 67-79 2wd box mounted with a plate with some spacers, I had to cut some out of the crossmember to make it work. I have a spare 78-79 4x4 box that I'm having ported to run the ram assist on there also, so I will be changing my mounting for the box. When I do this I will be boxing in the frame with supports for the box and boxing the other side with a custom front crossmember that currently wraps the front spring mounts. All this in conjunction with adding a coilspring/radius arm suspension. If you need pics of the 2wd box in there let me know with a PM with your email and I'll get you some.

I mistakingly picked up a ps box from a 77-78 4x4 snowfighter for the D60 front axle. I am thinking if I box the frame I could make it work. the pitman arm points towards the rear like it should and I will be using lift springs, or even putting the shakles in the front. any thoughts?

It might Work Not sure what a snow fighter was equipped w/ I use a 76-79 f100 4x4 box w/ a rack swap from 80ish 2by box.

"Snowfighter" Is just an option in 78-79 for the f250-350 4x4 that came with D60 front axles, kinda like the beefy 4x4 option. The PS box is a normal 77.5-79 4x4 box.
This is the box and how it is mounted in a 77.5-79. to mount it in a 67-77 you have to cut out some of the crossmember and box in the frame or build a bracket with spacers to hold up for it.

Yep, it kinda fits better as it is stubbier so the pitman arm is right under the frame and the box itself is right on top of the frame rail unlike the 2wd that sits up off the rail by about 4-5in making the PS pump a tight fit.
