Thanks for asking, bluef250. All in all, pregnancies are a little harder on Mary than most women, I think. She has morning sickness the entire 9 months, so let's just say it's a LONG 9 months...for BOTH of us. We went out shopping for a mini-van last weekend...didn't get one, but saw a few that we're gonna check out a little closer very soon, so that it's here by October.

Only 6-1/2 months more to go!

Well, I think we've kinda tentatively narrowed it down to a Dodge Grand Caravan. My wife really doesn't like the whole mini-van image, but she thinks the Dodges we've seen at least have a semi-sporty look to them. We saw a solid black '02 at one dealer that she kinda fell in love with, so I'm thinking that since she's gonna be the one driving it most of the time anyway, it's her call, so...

Personally, I was leaning towards a Windstar, but I've heard it's got some issues. Over the next few weeks I'm going to be doing a bit of research into that and see what I can find out.

Which are the ones that have the seats that fold down and store in the floor? Those are pretty nifty. And, if I remember right from my home depot days, they'll easily fit a standard size sheet of plywood/sheetrock... which is more than most foreign trucks can say. I remember thinking they were pretty slick, which was the first time I've ever thought such a thing about a minivan

I think the Caravans are about the best. The Windstars are junky. I'm not sure which ones have the fold down seats Liz is talking about but those look great. Those seats in the older Caravans were a bear to wrestle in and out. Also those Aerostars were goood vans, but ugly as a pan of mud.
I think you should get her a classic. Maybe an early econoline or a nice old Galaxy wagon with the tailgate that opens both ways. A 67 to match your truck would be perfect. A big old Country Squire with all the woody stickers. 428 with air, power windows, man what could be finer.

Congratulations on the new addition Keith ,your a lucky Man And as for the van Willowbilly3 is right the dodge grand caravan for the bucks is good but i think the 67 ford country squire would be cool and there could be some part swapping there from all the truck motors and drivetrains you got.

Just Saw the post. Congrats Keith. whats her actual due date? Found out last month my wife is having our second. She is due October 17. How coooool is that. Be funny if they are born the same day.

Did you ever find out what causes this condition so I can stop?

We don't know the actualy due date yet...my wife's an RN, she's figured it out to be the last week in October.

If you aren't to set on a mini-van you could look at a Durango 04 or newer.

The Mrs. and I just leased an 05 and the payments on it are less than for a used explorer.

The other vehicle you might want to look at is a ford frestar the SUV not the minivan I think the mini-van is called the freestyle.

through the years when I was growing up.

1957 ford wagon..."had AC"
1961 chevy wagon
1964 ford wagon
1957 chevy wagon- replaced the 64 ford, cuz my mom couldn't drive
a standard....The 57 chevy had auto...I wish I had that now....Was
one of those two tone bronze-cream versions...283, PS, etc...
1968 rambler ambassador wagon
1971 ford wagon
1968 plymouth satellite? wagon "front end like a roadrunner"
1973 chevy impala wagon - remember the curved rear glass, and power
gate that vanished into the bottom? "

We never had a 67 squire, but the people across the street did...
But...All white, and no wood...Actually...I think is was just a
"country sedan" maybe, but it was a decked out model with all
the power goodies, except windows.. I think all "squires" had the
wood...
One of my fav station wagons? I'd have to say the old's
vista cruisers....We never had one, but a neighbor did...Pretty
neat with the overhead glass...I haven't seen one of those in about
28 light years....Yep...66-67-68? Olds vista cruiser, big V8, AC, PS, 9 PSG, etc... Good vehicle for a growing family...
