Hey guy's
I have the defrost, heat and off controls working well. But the vent air is flowing all the time. or at least when the truck is moving. Does anybody have any suggestions for proper adjustment?

When you say vent air do you mean the fresh air coming in down low at the kick panels?
I confess I didn't even know about the sliding covers that block off or open up these vents until a friend wondered why I was suffering with no air flow in the heat.
If so, just push them forward to close them.

I'm not talking about the kick panel vents.
I get vent air through the heat vent or if I prefer I can send up through the defrost vents?

Air for the heater comes in through the passenger-side vent. If you've got the slider control to the OFF position, that should close a flapper door inside the heater box, shutting off the air supply to the heater box. Since you're still getting air, then you need to check out that flapper door and see why it's not sealing up...it could be debris, it could be a mis-adjusted cable, etc.

re: Vent air all the time
Guys,
I finally got a chance to see why I was getting vent air all the time.
Thanks for the suggestions. What really helped was the suggestion from the man FORDification :fr: stating that if the lever is in the off position. the falpper door should be in the closed position. It wasn't a watch, but the cable had shipped down on the flapper arm and wasn't really doing anything, except allowing air to flow all the time. I put the cable in the proper position and tried a test drive. It looks like that worked. I just hope the cable stays where it should.
Thanks again.
