Door Striker Bolts

Post by 67f250_irv »

So my cab is ready to come home from the body shop....all painted and looking good....but the body man has lost my door striker bolts. I went to NAPA to get a couple, but the thread size is not correct. So I called Greene Sales (local Ford part specialist) and they want $40 a piece for the striker bolts......WTF? Are these really that much different that they warrent that price? Has anyone ran across this problem before??? I think I understand why they have 11 in stock. Here is the part number if it helps: C7TZ8122008A

You can pick those up in just about any junkyard that has a bump I will bet. I wouldn't pay more than 5 bucks for both of them new.

You might even find some that work in the "Help" section of your Advance Auto, Autozone.

I am really trying to find new ones because I have spent a lot of time and money painting the door jambs along with the other cab. I think the thread on these bolts is 5/16". Is that correct?
