Turn Signal Question

My turn signals don't work and can't figure out how to get them to work again. I replaced the flashers and can't figure out what to try next. Any suggestions?

Could be the cam.

Did you check the fuse?

It's not the fuse, and i figured out that one of the wires going into the collumn is hot. I don't have the horn button attached could that be the problem?

No, your ok there, the horn doesn't have to be hooked up...
It could be the switch in the column. If you remove the steering wheel you can see it in there and check the wires / contacts with a test light.

Non working turn signals is a common problem. Most likely you should replace the turn signal switch. There have been a number of threads on the issue. The switch just falls apart and dies. The only effective cure is a transplant. You should be able to get a switch for less that $60 and it takes about 2 hours, if you're slow like me, to do the job. All the blinking light circuits and the horn go through the turn signal switch. The horn relay is grounded through the column.

My switch is working just fine there seems to be a gound somewhere between the switch and the lights.

one possability s a bad ground at the lights themselves.
