Chat Room

Post by GT-Racer »

Does anyone use the new chat feature Keith got for us?

If so what time is everyone usually on? We should use it as much as we can so its not just a wasted effort and more work for keith to keep up and running.

oh yah, how soon we forget right? :o We need a link in a really obvious place. Somewhere when you're cruising be boards you can see it easily and stop in. Do you have to go though the thread to get to it, or is there a link somewhere on the site?

I added the chat room to my favorites that way it would always be handy.

I haven't been able to get in. Only tried once. But, anyway, I'd suggest a given time every week for the chat to be open. Like Monday nights at such and such time every week. That way people get used to it being the same time, etc. Just an idea.

Up until now I really wasn't sure if the Chat was something we were going to keep, because of some minor issues with some members being unable to enter. However, until I can find something better, I've decided to go ahead and leave it, since it seems that it's the best thing I've tried so far (and those of you who have been around the forums for a while know I've tried quite a few different setups!)

Therefore, I've redesigned the header at the very top of this page to include a link to the Chat. Anytime you need to talk one-on-one with someone, you can pop in there for a few.

I'm also considering seeing if maybe sometime in the future we can get some industry or professional experts to be special guests for an evening chat, where we could pick their brains for an hour or two on things directly related to our trucks. I'm not sure when/if this will happen, but I'll be sure to let you know. :D
