Adjusting neutral safety switch

Post by flyboy2610 »

My back up lights worked yesterday, after I replaced the NSS with a spare used one I had. I took the upper column apart today to put in a gear position indicator, and after getting it all back together, the back up lights don't work. I tried another switch I had, and it starts in neutral and park, but still no backup lights.
How, exactly, does one adjust this switch? I noticed a hole in the back of it. Is that where a gauge pin or something goes?
I really need to get these lights working, because I want to register my trailer, and I need the back up lights.
Thanks all!

I beleive it is adjusted by loosening the screws and moving the switch against the colums little stick thing(doesn't that sound technical).

do this until the lights work if they still don't work double check bulbs.
