Bronco problems

Post by gonzalo medina »

I figure I would post this here since I believe it's electrical related. My 93 bronco seems to be acting funny. Sometimes the transmission chooses to shift hard in every gear. I also noticed when it does this all the gauges stop working as well as the power windows. It only does this sometimes and it's really comfusing me. The tranny seems to behave when the electrical gremlins aren't present. I know this year of bronco came with the undesired electrical controlled tranny so I don't know where to start. I know for a fact shorts and electrical jobs in that nature are very expensive so I leave this problem to the suggestions of the folks here.

I just bought it not to long ago and the rpevious owner said the ignition switch had just been done prior to the sale. I also noticed the turn signals don't work when this starts happening.

Aye it's probably a ground problem. Also check your fuses esp the blue 15 amp ones. Sometime the on 15 amp fuse w/ the "Z" conductor 1 end will break loose and make contact occasionally.
Wiggle wires around have someone watch the IP while your doing it.
