Well, I Must Say You Guys Sure know how to pick a guys curiosity!
My '72 F100 Ranger XLT Was K.C. Truck As Well If it was aplant thing it seems to have been shortlived so much so that the chiltons manuel does not list this as a vin location for any year until the first year they tried it on all models. LoL 2:am local my a*s (*=s) Goes outside in 34 degree temp to see about this flukish happening :lol:

I don't think your '72 would have that....as far as we've heard so far, it was just a '67-'68 thing. But I've learned to never say never. ;)

Is it possible that the original state that the truck was registered had some thing to do with it??? I once had a California built '48 Ford F-1 that had two extra vin locations The stock was vin tag brad riveted to fire wall and the second stock was screwed to glove box .. The extras were stamped in fire wall and drivers side frame rail.........Is it possible that each state has different laws?? Dude!!! 8)
