My F350 has an ignition that works with anything you can use to turn it, screwdriver, key, dime, whatever. That, and doors that don't lock any more, that's all I have for theft deterrent.

why spend lots of money on something that just makes noise and everybody ignores?
If your going to get something, get a gps tracking box and contract like Lojack or one of the others. we use it on everything with wheels or a trailer. Air compressors, welders, backhoes etc.
Dealers all the way over in seattle though
I don't have it in my truck though. Its got a manual choke and a T18 with the pattern worn off the knob, 1/2 the people I tell to drive it cant start it or back it up.

I have a removable steering wheel by GRANT installed in Jethro.
I bought it on ebay for about $35.00 and I just think it's awesome!

i dont have anything for my truck because who would see this and think "ooh ooh lots of money and valuables"
well i guess i should start being more cautious since im making it alot nicer with the paintjob and such. and bumps could be good targets since there easier to brake into. at least my doors lock and ill have my cd player in the glove box.

In Cities with Gang problems they would love one of these old trucks because they are easy to steal and they could use them for drive-bys. At least thats what I was told by a gang member when I worked at a prison1971ford wrote:i dont have anything for my truck because who would see this and think "ooh ooh lots of money and valuables"

Mine has a built in theft deterrent. It's called a manual choke. If you don't know EXACTLY how to start it, you will not get it running!
