:hmm: It has been awhile now.

Unscrew the bezel (ring) that say "LIGHTS". Pull the switch from the back. Push the button on top and pull the handle out. Unplug it. Now put the new one in in reverse order.

Nope...

Acquire new switch... memorize it
Disconnect the wiring from the back
Push in the button, pull out the knob (completely remove it)
Unscrew the center of the bezel area (outside bezel does not move)
Pull the switch out.

Reverse for installation.

71 Highboy I believe is closest. Although,he forgot the part about grabbing extra wires under there because you can't see what yer doin. Then you realize you should have taken a battery cable off to prevent all those purty sparks from flyin'. Then there's the racking you head on the steering wheel when the sparks DO fly. And of course, nothing will come apart and go back together as easy as you think it should.
One should probably schedule an afternoon just for it. :D

Excuse me while I whip this out

Hey Bugser,

I am ashamed to admit that you are right, but even more embarrased to acknowledge that we both missed the most important step...

BUY BEER!
