Moving the Radio

Post by MadMaxetc »

OK, first let me say that my dash is currently butchered arount the radio and the ash tray is dorked up.

Right now it is quite a strech to reach over and chnge the station on my CD player that is just sitting in the butchered hole where the stock radio was.

What I am thinking of doing is movint the entire dash section with the radio over and removing the ash tray. I am also going to resess a flat part for the radio (like the oposite of the Volvo plastic install.). The hole that would be next to the glove box would then just be filled in flat.

What do you guys think?

I was thinking the same thing. Kind of like a flat shelf that would slide out just bellow the Heater Controls.

This might be kind of cool... 8)

I think I will just make a console to go under the dash since my shifter is so far back.
