your orage wire by the firewall i have never seen it hooked up. not saying it don't but never had any problems from that. it may be a place to wire an add on item up.

the big plug with the yellow and green wires in it is your turn signal and headlamp harness hookup.

the black and red ones have some sort of a by pass wire loop hooked into them on my current truck and the last truck i had was the same. i believe the two purprls are your brake warning lamp.

and I don't remember what the oval plug is for. i gueas you know the plug that goes to your oil tenmp sending units and coil are they look like a three wire version of the 4 wire flat trailer wiring.

i just noticed i'm missing the stator wire form my alternator harness how important is this? does mssing it mess with the guages at all or just the battery gauge?

I don't want to give em a heart-attack. That is what would happen if I answered the door in the buff. Heck it almost scares me to death when I step out of the shower and look in the mirror.~Mancar1~

layedout72 wrote:the 69 diagram (charging system diagrams) have me all confused. it shows the orange that i have, not plugging into anything at all...but it has an orange colored wire coming from the fuel tank sender, to a cylinder labeled "F", which I can only guess is some sort of fuse, then going to a plug block connector and then to what im guessing is the plug I see. Am I seeing that right?

I don't really see any black/red pig tails?
F is not for fuse it is connector F in the overview diagram. The fuel tank has 2 connectors in it. One where the wire starts at the tank, then through the cab pillar and up under the dash and out of cab at the firewall. The wire goes from there to the orange wire at Connector F. and back into the cab to the gas guage.
