68 F100 2wd
The only fuse box I've been able to locate is under the instrument panel on the left side of the cab. Not many fuses in there. Is there another box somewhere?
thx,
Eric

no that is the only one with about 5 or 6 fuses is all you will have in it at any time. of course ford does use fuseable link wire. if it burns in two then the wire will not send power to the part its attached to. have you checked out www.fordification.com/wiring.htm

I have checked out the wiring section but there isn't much on the 68. Will the 69 circuits be similar?
thx,

Yes the wire diagrams for 68-70 are basically the same (not completely sure on the 67) and 71-72 are the same...

re: Fuse Box. Where and how many
FYI: I have many additional inline fuses underneath the hood on both fender walls.
That's where there likely to be located.

yea fuseable links are muy popular. and when they blow, its a search in itself to find the one you need to replace.

re: Fuse Box. Where and how many
Hey e-man,
When i bought my bump a couple years ago...wow has it been that long???...anyway, the PO had completely butchered almost all of the underhood wiring...even had installed a "kill switch" because the ignition switch was broken or so he said...
anyway the point of my post is the fordification wiring info is great and I have used it several times, but I also bought a cd (from e-bay, I think)with the wiring diagram for my 71 and have found it to be very helpful in redoing some of the more confusing wiring, both under the hood as well as under the dash, which was also pretty tore up!!!
good luck,
Ken

re: Fuse Box. Where and how many
Thanks Ken. Yea, I just bought a wiring book for the 68. I fixed most of my wiring problems... the usual, turn signals, brake lights, and all the other lights. Just a couple more to go and I'm off to concentrate on the suspension.
