Please someone to store truck near Olympia area?
Okay, I found this truck that someone offered to me. There is a pict of it on this link: http://www.freewebs.com/fordpickup460/100_5960.JPG
It looks really nice, and even the interior looks nice and almost new. The truck does not have an engine or transmission, however. It is a 1967.
My apartment complex will not allow me to store something like this, so I need a place to store it for about a year until I can get to working on it.
The truck is in Sultan, and I am on Olympia, WA.
Did I also say that this truck is being given to me for free? I do not want to pass this offer up.
*sigh*

not bad! Body looks good and straight.
The problem with mini storages is a lot of them require that the vehichle is able to be driven (trouble with no engine). I was trying to store my parts truck around here somewhere but nowhere would take it because it couldn't be moved by its own power.

Whoa! That is a pretty good looking '67! If you find a place for it, I have a fairly straight hood for you.

They won't let you keep a second vehicle in Visitor parking?
Could you park it in your space after putting a hood on it? and then if you have something else you drive daily park it in visitor parking?
P.S. Nice job on the free truck!
I would have paid 450 or better for something like that(after all i did pay 450 for mine )

Man, don't lose that. Pay that guy some rent if you have to. At least tell you can get a place for it.

Wow, holy S%^&, don't let that puppy out the door. That's a beauty. Wish I was closer, I'd let you park her in my yard any time. Storage sounds like your best option.

See Snooziums, I told you you just needed to look a little harder. I wish I could help, but my yard is full of my own junk trucks already. I do know of a place in Ballard for $65/month if you are interested. It's a buddy of mines and he even has a shop with a hoist to plop the motor in when you are ready.
That's MR. Jackass to you fellah!

Have you ever considered approaching a local shop and doing some trade out. Some sort of a flunky/apprentice arrangement to help you with your truck. Did you get a title with it?
Great ideas have always encounter violent opposition from mediocre minds.

re: Please someone to store truck near Olympia area?
Well, I cannot find a place to store it. My apartment requires all vehicles in their proberty to be running and have insurance. I cannot find a storage place that allows non-running vehicles, no friends that have room to store it, and no shop will rent out because of libabily reasons.
So, as much as I hate to do this, I am going to have to pass this offer up. This really hurts. *crys*
This is sad, since 67-72 Trucks are going for over $3,000 in the local paper and some over $11,000 on eBay. I guess I am going to have to give up on the idea of having an 67-72 truck then, even though I have dreamed of having one for so long.
*sigh* Such is life, I guess.

If You Snuck it in overnight how would they know it aint running and what happens if it is running and then doesn't run? they tow you or kick you out becuase your vehicle stopped running what kind of assholes do you rent from anyhow? As long as you insure it i don't see how they would know.
I would see if you couldn't get a cherry picker and drop the engine in and then it would be running right?

My brother lives in Nisqually, and may be able to store it for you for a bit. maybe longer,if you offer him a little bit of cash for storage. and he also has all the shop eqiupment you would ever need, and is always more than willing to help a person out. It's just the way our family is. Let me know, and I will call him for ya.
