Yo S.
I'm never like this but cut the crap. You've only talked about this for a day or two and you're already giving up. Man, I'd be crawling the walls and asking everybody if they could help me out for a bit. Are you really serious about this or what? That's a great looking truck and if you pass on that your a fool. Sorry, tough love is coming out. Look, you've got two people that are willing to help, and a great truck that the 6 will go into. Strech, live, you'll love lit. Get out of that shell. Good luck, I hope you make the decision.
Really, no offense meant, but you gotta figure it out. Either you want to do this or not.

re: Please someone to store truck near Olympia area?
Okay
I have told them to still hold the truck for me. However, I will need lots of help with this one.
First off, I have no funds right now and will not until summer as I am a starving student, really (I am living off romen right now). Also, because I am so busy, and have no transportation, I cannot leave the Olympia area.
Okay, I said that the truck is in Sultan, and someone might be willing to transver it down. However, I need a place to store it for right now along the way, and a place where I do not have to pay anything for a couple of months.
So, I need a temp place to store it, one where I do not have to pay until summer.
As a bonus, I am willing to let go of the parts on the truck that I do not need, like the power steering setup, and the spere fuel tank.
Please let me know.

re: Please someone to store truck near Olympia area?
There's some creative thinking. There might be someone on the list willing to store the truck for those parts.
Is the guy in Sultan desperate to get it off his land? Maybe you could work a deal where it stays where it is for the time-being and you give him $200 at the start of the summer or something for the trouble.
Your parents live in the state? S.O.? One of your college friends? Maybe see if any of them would mind. Approaching them with a concrete plan on what you're going to do when might be key...let's them know you're coming back for it and it's not going to end up a permanent yard ornament.
Where do you keep the engine and gearbox? Those take up some space...any more available there?
How far are you from having the parts you need to put that six in this truck and make it a running/driving machine? If it were me, I'd try to work out a deal to store it until summer somewhere, and in the meantime get the pieces together so that you're ready to twirl some wrenches by then.
Are you at Evergreen? If so, there's a guy who specializes in old Landies just across 104 from you, and maybe he might be a guy to approach about working out a storage deal.
If you do find "free" storage, remember that it's going to be short-term (in most cases) so you need to also have a game plan for getting the truck on its feet this summer...besides, that's the whole point, isn't it?
I think you can do this and all of this hassle will be worth it when you have your truck together.

I hope you get this all worked out. Don't forget the powers of female persuasion. You will be amazed at how far the puppy dog eyes will get a girl.
Now don't do this but I have to tell you a funny thing that happened. Years ago I was wrenching in a busy gas station. We NEVER loaned tools. On day a very chesty young floozy come in to borrow a pickle fork. She had on a shirt that boldy proclaimed "Don't kiss me stupid, f--- me silly". She could have rolled a snap-on tool box out of there (not mine, mind you) I am sure that's the shirt her old man had her wear to go borrow tools. He would have never walked out with any.

re: Please someone to store truck near Olympia area?
Critical
The truck needs to be moved off this persons land within seven days, so I need to find a temp free place to store it. I have asked my classmates at college, and none of then have a place to store it.
The other truck is spoken for, sorry.
So, if anyone wants to store it temp for free, until I can pay a little bit during the summer, please let me know.
My time to get this sorted out is limited here.

re: Please someone to store truck near Olympia area?
Nisqually is a lot closer than Sultan! It's maybe ten miles outside of Olympia.
S., when you claim to not have any money, is that really true? I ask only because even $20 a month can sometimes make a difference. You mentioned in another thread that you had $300...perhaps that could be doled out over six months at $50 a month to someone like Ed's brother. I'd also be prepared to pay about $50 for someone's gas to haul the truck to its temporary storage.
I know you're busy in school, but can you get a part-time job on-campus to bring in a bit of extra money? Even if you don't get this truck (which I still think you should do everything in your power to get ahold of, if this is indeed your dream), life is so much easier when you have even a little money to call your own.
While these old trucks are relatively inexpensive to work on, any car requires some cash coming in on a monthly basis. I have a good friend who has never owned a car, he lives in the city and walks to everything. To him, a car represents money he can spend on other things. Me, I've spent every last penny at times on cars, they're my passion. It all depends on how bad you want it.

re: Please someone to store truck near Olympia area?
Make the deal and resell the truck. Take the money and do it over again. Before you know it you will have worked your way into something that is comfortable. If you plop this dead horse on some nice person that you do not even know, I would almost guarantee it will still be there long after the time you hoped to have a place for it.
I would hate to see you pass on this truck but this does not seem to me to be a very wise decision. You just cannot hope to do any justice to a project with no resouces. If I was there I would help you in a heartbeat because that's what I do. But getting this truck now is a bad move. Not that I think anything I can say would change your mind but if you are dead set on swimming up strteam then get out there and do some networking. Get a part time job at a shop that will help you out. Be willing to make some sacrifices and not just cry for help to get what you want. No one wants to help a person more than they are willing to help themself. Sorry to be blunt but I call it like I see it.

re: Please someone to store truck near Olympia area?
It is over
Well, it appears that someone found ogs here about the free truck, and my accound is going to be temporary suspended. So I cannot have the free truck, and am forsed to pass. I am so sorry.
I only hope that Ken here does no do the same with my account.
If anyone else is insteresteed in the free truck, it is in the NorthWest Chapter of the FTE forums. Good luck, as I can no longer post there for right now or I will get into trouble.
I only hope that I am not suspended from here as well. So I lost the truck. I am not liked there and maybe no one likes me here anyways.

Sorry about the truck, maybe it wasn't meant to be. The guy giving it away won't give it away to someone using Fordification? That's weird.
Not like you here? What's not to like? Don't let the pathetic controlling reactions of a small-minded, jealous little twit get you down. Many here consider a banning at FTE as a sign of class and distinction.
Don't let guys like that make you feel bad, that's what they want, you coming back saying "oh, gosh, you are the best, I'm so sorry!" Blech.
Keep in mind, in all things, these wise words:
