Anoither Tailight Mystery
While tapping into the wire that feeds the left side license plate lite, I did something to cause the right tailight to not light. The wire that feeds the license light has two wires, one ground, one hot. I fed into the hot side and got the license light to work (since the bumper is its own ground, I didn't need the other wire). Now, the right side light doesn't work only in the running/headlight mode. Turn signal fine. I am sure the unused wire is a ground (tested it). Does the wire complete some kind of circuit? I have regrounded the unused wire and still nothing happens with the right tailight. Any suggestions?

re: Anoither Tailight Mystery
Problem solved. The wire for the license plate light (left side) is in circuit with the right side tailight. Both wires are hot and must be joined to complete circuit. For new license plate lights, just tap into the wire without breaking the connection. Sorry!!!
